La Rambla
It's noisy, it's dirty, and it's full of tourists, but no visit to Barcelona would be complete without a walk down La Rambla (Las Ramblas in Spanish). Descending from Plaça Catalunya and the multi storey department stores that line Passej de Gracia, La Rambla forms the southern frontier of the Bario Gothico (Gothic quarter). Walking the full length of La Rambla will take around 20 minutes, and is a great way to soak in the atmosphere and acclimatise on arriving in Barcelona.
